An unauthenticated POST to /chat/completions returns 402 'Authentication required' quoting a FLAT 10.000000 USDC on Base (eip155:8453) or Solana — this is an access/credit payment, NOT per-token inference pricing, so do not expect a per-request quote. The same 402 lists an API key (venice.ai/settings/api) as the alternative auth. Staked DIEM credits are drawn down before USDC where present. |
